Second Frame

Vigil Honor Sash – -This sash was produced in 1979, where in the 40th anniversary of the Wa-Hi-Nasa Lodge, a young Chris Snoddy sent a group of sashes to be signed by the Founders of the OA to present as gift to that years Vigil class.  This is a sash that somehow Col. Edison missed but Dr. Goodman did sign.   See the letter to and the response from Dr. Goodman.

Vigil Honor Sash – This sash was produced in early 2000’s.  Many times you see that people ask dignitaries or honored guests to sign their sashes.   This sash was kept by a Lodge member and has the signatures of Lodge Chiefs from 1999 to 2004, plus Mr. Olson.   Signatures include: Howard Olson, Brad Goodwin (1999 Lodge Chief, 2026 Lodge Adviser), Clay Capp (2000 Lodge Chief, 2002 National Chief), Jonathan Nation (2001 Lodge Chief), James Cartwright (2002 Lodge Chief), Tyler Belew (2003 Lodge Chief), Franklin Curtis (2004 Lodge Chief).

Commemorative Sash – Starting in 2006, the National OA trading post began selling a black sash with just a white Arrow embroidered on the sash.  This was sold with a silver sharpie to have signatures on the sash.  These two sashes were signed by the members of the Wa-Hi-Nasa lodge who attended the 2009 NOAC.

Vigil Honor Sash – This sash was produced in 2015.  There are only three patches that are approved by the National OA committee to be worn on the OA Sash.  Each are an anniversary award that could be earned by Arrowmen during the year of the Anniversary.   These three awards are for the 50th , 60th , and 100th Anniversary of the Order of the Arrow,  This is an example of the 100th anniversary award.

100th Anniversary commemorative Red Sash – For the 100th anniversary of the Order of the Arrow, every attendee, Guest and Staff, at the 2015 NOAC was given a special Red commemorative sash.  This sash was only to be worn at 2015 NOAC for a special occasion.   This sash was not level specific so everyone was given the same sash.  The bars of the traditional sash were replaced with the years that the OA was founded (1915) and the year of the 100th anniversary (2015).  The center of the Arrow has also been embellished with the logo of the centennial of the OA.
