Council Shoulder Patches (CSP)

To some, patches are just pieces of cloth with something stitched on it. But to Scouts and Scouters, they are
collectable memories. Whether you see them as just cloth or a treasured memory, we can all agree that much
of the Middle Tennessee Council history can be told through its patches. Memories and stories of the fun we
had and the not so memorable times all come alive when looking back at these remembrances. This is one of
the many reasons that patches are sentimental treasures for special events in our lives.
This guide will discuss the Middle Tennessee Councils’ Council Shoulder Patches, commonly referred to as
“CSP” and Jamboree Shoulder Patches (JSP). In the MTC, CSPs have been issued as Standard Council CSPs,
for National Jamborees, for FOS and other Fundraising campaigns, National and Council anniversary events,
State of Tennessee events, and in two cases, to honor an individual.
