Left Half – Wood Badge is considered the Ph.D. of Scouting. The training emblem of two tiny beads suspended from a leather cord is the only Truely international training award. There are Wood Badge courses that occur all over the world every year. Wood Badge has had a course in the Middle Tennessee Council since 1951.

The Ax and Log are symbols of Wood Badge and the Kudu horn has a special place also.

NYLT stands for the National Youth Leader Training. This course teaches Advanced leadership skills to young people within the Scouting program.
